Your Third Post

(The third blog must be at least 300 words for full credit) Better answers last time, please continue to give the blog thought!

I. What did you think of the presentation. How will you use it to your advantage?

II. What about the admissions process is news to you. What did you know before?

III. (Even if you're not planning on law school) How are you preparing for your future NOW? Trust me, time moves quick and you'll be looking at grad school applications soon, and its best to start preparing for the next step of your life sooner rather than later.

IV. What have you become involved with? Like Dean Gonzalez said, Law Schools look for students not only with good grades, but involvement as well. If you aren't involved, you probably should start looking around now, so you can have an officer role by the time you're a senior! Also, if not involved, what do you think you would like to do?

V. After hearing from Dean Gonzalez, is law school still for you?

VI. What is the most fun experience you've had at Mizzou so far? We've been here about half a semester, how are things going for you? What are your best memories?

VII. What is something you would like to see the FIG cover?

VIII. Are you planning on attending Pizza and Politics? What issue is of most concern to you right now in contemporary politics?

  1. I. I thought the presentation on wednesday was useful and informative. Since I'm planning on going to law school still, I learned more about the admissions process. I don't know if I'm going to consider MU law, but I might.
II. Something new I learned that is positive news to me is that you don't have to have a consistent 3.5 to 4.0 gpa. I've found the transition from high school to college difficult and I don't think this year's grades will be entirely representative of my four years here. Thankfully, they will be looking at my application as a whole and while grades matter a few bad exams my freshman year here or there won't kill me. I knew that I needed recommendations and a resume. In other words, good grades don't translate to law school acceptance-other things matter too.
III. I do have a few goals for my future in mind, law school being one of them, but I don't want to over-plan. The more I think about the future the more stressed out I get and while having a general direction of where I want to go (law-making or law-enforcement), I do not have plans that are set in stone or a detailed list of goals for the next four years because it's honestly too much to think about right now.
IV. I have become very involved in my sorority. I participate in almost every charity event that I can and I am hoping for an officer position next semester or next year. I would like to be director of housing for phi mu my senior year which would look really good on a resume. I have held a job for over a year and have no intentions of quitting at the present time. That staying power (like she mentioned) will mean something to the people who review my application. I'm involved in big brothers big sisters of columbia and I have been for about half a year now.
    V. I do believe law school is still for me. Dean Gonzalez didn't sway me one way or the other, but her information was beneficial. I don't know if I will want to go into law in 2 or 3 years but as of right now it looks like the best option for me.
VI. My favorite thing at mizzou so far is the greek life. Rush week was hard because I felt so judged but now I'm in a house I'm with people I really belong with. My best memory so far is the winery party we had a few weeks ago.
VII. I would really enjoy more discussion of current events in regards to politics especially the health care debate. In general, I just want more debate in the class. I think that a lot of the people in the FIG have strong and diverse opinions.
VIII. I want to attend pizza and politics but I have to go to the i-life session. The issue of most concern to me right now is the healthcare debate. I think a public option for health care would be ten steps backwards in regards to the economy and it would destroy the insurance companies like the one my dad works for. There needs to be insurance reform not healthcare reform. I could go on and on, but it is apparent to me that america is not in favor of the plans being proposed by congress and instead of wasting our time pursuing a socialist agenda that looks good on paper and doesn't work in practice we should focus on revamping medicaid and medicare as well as the insurance companies that have been known to cheat people out of their money. The second most important issue to me right now is the economy. It seems like the obama administration is spending money at the drop of a hat now and are not being vigilant with how they are allocating funds. Our debt is outrageous and it only continues to increase.

  2. I think Dean Gonzalez’s presentation was very informative and helpful to us, being that most of our group is thinking about attending law school someday. She talked about issues that aren’t usually discussed in information packets and brochures. She put everything into realistic terms for me and really made me think about how much work I need to put into these next four years if I still decide to go to law school. A definite advantage her presentation gave to us was that we now have an upper-hand on the people who didn’t get to speak with her and don’t know the amount of work ethic that will be necessary to get into law school.
I didn’t realize until the presentation yesterday that Mizzou’s Law School offered Dual Degree Programs. I really like the fact that you could get your Law degree and your Masters in something else in such a short time, at one school. For somebody that wished to pursue this, it would really set your resume apart from all the rest and would be a great advantage for finding a great job after Graduate school. A lot of the stuff Dean Gonzalez mentioned, I already was aware of before. I knew about most of the requirements needed to get into Law school and I knew that Mizzou had one of the smaller Law schools in the country.
For me to be able to prepare for the future, I need to decide what I actually want to do with the rest of my life. I have a general idea of either law school or a forensics graduate school, but as for which direction I for sure want to go, I have no clue. I really like forensic psychology, but I just can’t decide whether to go the law route or not. So all I can really do now to prepare for my future is to keep my GPA up and take courses that I know will eventually help me make the decision between forensics and law.
As of right now I am involved with PBL. I was really involved with FBLA in high school and I figured it would be a nice transition between high school and college. I want to eventually get involved with other groups/organizations but as of right now I don’t want to overwhelm myself.
After hearing from the Dean, law school is still a definite possibility for me. I could really see myself being an attorney some day. I might eventually decide differently, but as for right now, I am not ruling out law school.
So far my best experience would definitely have to be getting to know my roommate and suitemates, and taking an awesome road trip to Maryville to see where Genesse lived. We had a complete blast and I loved it! I also really enjoyed going to the football games. Fun, fun!
I wish that the FIG would go over more law-related aspects. I really want to learn more about the classes and majors related to law degrees. Open discussions about the LSATs and things of that nature would also do us some good.
I am planning on attending the Pizza and Politics party, but only for a little bit. I have a PBL meeting at 7:30 so will only be there for a short time. Some political debates about current policies would be a great discussion point!

  3. I. I Thought that the presentation was somewhat helpful, but it was not the greatest. I felt that the woman who spoke to us did a good job of explaining the admissions process, however she didn’t really promote Mizzou’s law school all that much. For a person in her position, she should have had several other reasons to make a student want to come to Mizzou Law, instead she only had one or two selling points.

II. I learned that the admissions process to law school isn’t a whole lot different than the process to get into Mizzou as an undergrad. That said, I learned that they definitely review your application much more closely and are definitely more selective. In addition, I learned that I would have to take the LSAT, which she said, is much different than the ACT.

III. Currently, I plan on attending law school and I am preparing for this decision by taking coursework that will prepare me for law school. I am going to be taking a writing intensive course next year, and probably another time in my undergrad. Furthermore I am taking (or planning to take) coursework that will allow me to keep my options open for the type of law that I end up focusing on (politics, business, economics, social, etc.).

IV. I have gotten involved in a couple of campus activities. The first of which is the Missouri Student’s Association (MSA). I am currently an At-Large student senator. This organization looks excellent on a resume, as it show that I am a good leader and demonstrate my ability to work with others within an organization. The second organization that I am involved with is MU College Democrats. While I’m not as heavily involved with this organization, I do attend meetings and volunteer. I have tried not to be over involved this first semester so that I can figure out how to manage my time while I get adjusted to college. In the future, I assume that I will join more organizations.

    V. I think that law school is for me, and I still plan on attending law school. Plans change, however, so that may not end up being what I do.

VI. The most fun thing that I have done at Mizzou has been going to the football games and tailgating. Tiger walk was also a really cool experience. Walking through the columns with everyone in the class of 2013 was awesome. Personally, college is going great. I love college, and I am doing very well academically. I learned that college isn’t as hard as I expected, it only takes more work than in high school.

VII. One thing that I would like to see our FIG cover is more politics related subjects. I would love to have political debates about issues. We should have more student-focused activities like debates or class discussions as opposed to visiting speakers.

VIII. I am planning on attending the Pizza and Politics event. The biggest reason I’m coming is because it combines my two favorite things, food and political discussion. The biggest issue of concern to me right now is the passage of healthcare reform. I am also impassioned about lowering the cost of higher education and offering more financial aid (who isn’t).

    ReplyDelete
  4. I. I think the presentation was rushed through too quickly to get all the information we need, or to convince us to attend the school. But I also believe it was informative

II. I knew there was a specific test you had to take just to get into the law school and there were only a few dates for it, and that’s it is competitive because they try to keep their roster a low number for more one on one time with the students.

III. In preparation for my future, I often consider other majors and really try to find the topic that interests me the most. If I am going to be doing this the rest of my life, and worked hard enough to get a degree in it, I don’t want to be in a miserable career. I also consider the demand for the jobs I am interested in pursuing.

IV. I am not currently involved in anything, except occasional articles for the Maneater, but I would possibly like to join the coed fraternity the last speakers were talking about that deals with the environment. Also, I may get involved with the Free Tiger.

    V. One of the best memories so far was the Bowling Green game. My family was here, and it was such a stressful game and I really wanted us to win so my parent didn’t think I went to a bad school in football standards because honestly that’s all they care about. And we won. The crowd was amazing. Things are going great. I also really enjoyed the Tiger Walk because it was sentimental and it made me feel like a part of something.

VI. It has already been covered, but I would like to see environmental politics brought up again. It really interested me.

VII. I may be attending, I am not sure yet. Again, environment is one of my main concerns right now.

  5. I. I thought the presentation was alright. Dean Gonzalez was great, it is just that how interesting/ exciting can you really make a speech like that? I liked that she gave us actual admissions packet information and she seemed very knowledgeable about the entire process. With the packet she gave us, I can start to get a feel for what the schools will look for in an applicant.
II. I was unaware that Law schools looked at your extra-curriculars so much. I guess it makes sense, I just never really considered that. Also, it was interesting to see Mizzou's mean LSAT score so I could compare it to other schools. I already knew about the cost (how it is less expensive than private schools) and the GPA requirement of 3.5.
III. I am preparing for my future and have been for some time. My first priortity here is academics. I feel that that is the most important thing for one's future and it is something that is relatively easy to control. In addition, I am in MSA Senate, so that is helping me get acquainted with the "parle pro" procedure. I also work in the political science department, so I am gaining experience as well as making connections within the department that will hopefully help me with future study abroad programs and career advice.
IV. I have already gotten involved on campus. Currently I hold a Senator seat in the MSA Senate. As part of that organization, I am on the Student Affairs committee. In MSA we attempt to help the entire University by passing legislation to improve how things are run. I am also joining a soccer team with some of the other Senators, which will be something a bit more relaxed.
    V. I am about 70% sure that Law school is for me. It is a lot to take into consideration, but I think it may be the right path for me to get involved in politics and eventually to be in Congress. Dean Gonzalez didn't really sway me to the idea, I have been thinking about it for some time now.
VI. Being at Mizzou thus far has been a blast! I think that there is always a lot of fun stuff to do. The most fun experience so far has to definitely be the Chi Alpha Capture the Flag game. The game was huge- it spanned the majority of White Campus and it was fun to just hang out with people I hadn't met before. Also, that was where my knees got a bit torn up, so it was a good day! There are already lots of memories here, but I would say that some of the best would be: painting up for the Furman game, late night chinese food, Xavier, Allie, and Stephanie dancing at me in my room, and just hanging in the "Commons".
VII. I would like the FIG to cover more political debates and really anything pertaining to that since we are the Politics and the Law FIG. Also, current events would be a fun topic as well. And just another suggestion- we should have food at some of our meetings! :)
VIII. I am planning to attend Pizza and Politcs. It will be fun to get to talk/debate about politics and government with an actual professor. I would like to discuss the Healthcare bill, and the budget and spending. These topics would most certainly inspire a debate, which is always a good time!

  6. I. I thought the presentation was dry to be quite honest. I mean I did learn a few things here and there but overall I thought it was not very thrilling. Her job as Dean should have excited the students currently attending MU as undergraduates to want to attend law school her at Mizzou, but personally, it made me want to attend elsewhere.
II. I basically knew everything that you had to do to get into law school, which is basically like applying for a full time professional job. I liked how the Dean emphasized that you do not have to have a tip top GPA to get into Mizzou’s Law School. But, what is that really saying about the Law School here? Are we not promoting the brightest and the best to come here?
III. I would like to one day attend law school, but if I decide not to it will not be the end of my life. I do not like to stress out too much about my future. I will end up where I need to be somehow.
IV. I have become a part of the Pre-Law Fraternity here at Mizzou. It has not helped me much since I am just a freshman this year, but getting my foot in the door will be a greater help when trying to get test preps done for the LSAT, and then eventually applying to law schools.
    V. As far as I’m concerned, yes law school is still for me, but that idea could change.
VI. Meeting Tiffany has definitely been my best experience. She and I have become really close friends and I do everything with her.
VII. I would like to see the FIG cover more about politics and not just the law part of it.
VIII. I hope I can make it to the politics discussion tonight, but I am sick and will decide if I want to go in a few hours when I might be feeling better.

  7. I thought the presentation went very well, Mrs. Gonzalez was rockin' the stage. I will use this as a tool to name drop when I apply for the upper level business school.

The admissions process is nothing new to me, a panel of people accepting students or saying oh, well you're not good enough so jog on. Just watch legally blonde and you'll see how to get accepted into Law School.

Internships, reading up on tax credits and hud housing... etc. the usual stuff you know.

Well, I'm an active member in the NRA and thats about it. I don't do any extra curricular activities, so i'm kinda screwed in that respect. And i'm not really looking to do anything like that either.

I think law school is not for me because I wasn't really thinking about it in the first place and as i move ahead and start thinking about what i really want to do with my life, I feel like experience will add up a whole hell of a lot more than learning pol. sci. or phil. in school.

My best times i can recall at Mizzou are the Weekends!

I would like to see political parties addressed and have a healthcare debate! fun stuff

yes, i am. i love pizza and extra points are an added bonus.

  8. Part I
I thought the presentation was very informative, and I learned a lot about the admissions process. I thought Dean Gonzalez was very helpful and seemed to really care about her students and those aspiring to become law students. I will use this presentation to help me figure out what I need to do in the next four years to prepare myself for law school.

    Part II
I learned how important it is to get involved and maintain good grades throughout your undergraduate degree. I plan to become involved in more organizations and study a lot to get into law school. I also learned about taking the LSAT and that I will need to begin preparing well in advance for this test. I knew that there was an admissions essay, but I found out what question Mizzou law school asked.

    Part III
I am preparing for my future by trying to take challenging classes and still trying to maintain a high GPA. I am majoring in business, but I really liked the idea of being able to attend law school and earn my MBA at the same time. I am trying to figure out exactly what I want to do after college.

    Part IV
I am a member of the Cornell Leadership Program at the business school. I want to become involved in more activities next semester, especially ones in the business school and the pre-law fraternity. I didn’t want to take on too much this first semester and just wanted to get settled. However, now that I have done that, I am ready to become more involved.

    Part V
I definitely think law school is still for me. I am excited to complete my undergrad and move onto law school, but her presentation also really made me think about all that I need to be doing to prepare for it.

    Part VI
My best experiences at Mizzou have been the time I have spent with my roommate and suitemates. We always seem to have fun together. I also really enjoyed the corporate visit trip I took to St. Louis with the Cornell Leadership Program. I love Mizzou and am so glad I decided to come here.

    Part VII
I would like to see the FIG cover more current political issues and have group discussions about them.

    Part VIII
I am planning to attend Pizza and Politics. I am very interested in the current Healthcare debate and am concerned about the decisions being made regarding Afghanistan.

  9. I. The presentation in it’s entirety allowed for us to further understand the process of getting into law school. It was informative in way that it was specified at Mizzou’s law school for obvious reasons. The information presented really was not anything new for someone who has been to presentations on law school.

II. As previously stated, I have been planning on attending law school for quite some time now, so most of the information I already knew. I know all about the LSAT and have already began preparing. The only new information I have received is that of the specifics of the school here at Mizzou.

III. The best way to prepare for the future is to focus on what you plan to do, so I have been working hard on my academics. I have already researched which law schools I plan on applying and am focusing on how to appeal to these schools.

IV. The only organization I am involved with here is Phi Alpha Delta (PAD), the pre-law fraternity here on campus. It is strange not having a long list of extra-curricular activities as I did in high school. I need to look into joining more organizations.

    V. Law school is without a doubt still for me. Every time we enter Hulston Hall, my body shutters with a force of destiny, not that I believe in such things as fate, but I do feel as though I truly see myself in such a place of learning and education. I know that I want to be successful, and within the confines of a law degree is where I see myself shining the brightest. Although granted, this all started as a plot for my eventual run for president, I now see myself more as a high powered lawyer, or perhaps justice, someday on the rise in twenty-nine years instead of my plan for running for office. I must say that my power hungry core may beg to differ someday, but at least I will have the power to make it as such if I desire.

VI. Things are nothing what I expected here, to be honest, but not necessarily in a bad sense. Good memories here would be random nights in College Avenue, especially when Claire, Allie, Xavier, and I experienced the “Walk that Walk” dance as performed by Allie and Xavier. The best memory, however, and being the nerd that I am will soon come out, is when we took the tour of the law school, and the random 3L boy told us that people check out desks. I found the whole thing amusing and exciting.

VII. Perhaps more on how people pay for law school, because the idea of being $200,000 in debt is not appealing.

VIII. I just attended Pizza and Politics actually, and I did plan on attending before I did so. The issue that is most concerned to me in American politics is the economy, but I focus more on international problems than American politics, so I would have to say my main concern is the problems occurring in the Middle East with Iran in the front position at the moment.

  10. I.
The presentation was very helpful, considering I know practically nothing about the law school admissions process. I plan on using the knowledge I gained from the presentation to further guide me towards the decision of whether or not law school is the right option for my future.
    II.
I was surprised but pleased to learn that my major, English, is an excellent degree option in preparation for law school. I fell better knowing that I’m headed in the right direction if I finally do come to the conclusion to go to law school. As I previously said, I knew nothing about the law school admissions process before this presentation, except that you have to take the LSAT.
    III.
Because I’m really unsure where my future is headed right now, I’m doing my best to at least choose a general direction. I already have lots of my general education requirements out of the way thanks to AP exams, so I’m taking some classes just because the subject matter interests me in hopes of finding my calling.
    IV.
I haven’t become involved in anything since coming to Mizzou. I realize that being involved on campus will play an important role in acceptance to law school or other graduate programs, so I definitely plan on becoming involved soon. I’m not sure what I would like to become involved with but doubt I would have trouble finding a group to suit my interests.
    V.
Since coming to Mizzou, I’m starting to think more seriously about law school being a possible occurrence in my future. After hearing from Dean Gonzalez, my musings about law school are still indefinite. My final decision is far off, but law school looks better and better every day.
    VI.
My most fun experience at Mizzou so far was going to a football game with my friends. My favorite memory is when my best friend surprised me by coming to Mizzou with my mom to see me.
    VII.
I would like to see the FIG cover more current political issues.
    VIII.
I didn’t attend Pizza and Politics, but the political issue that I’m most concerned with right now is healthcare reform.

  11. I thought the presentation was very informative and interesting. The Dean pointed out some of the specialty areas of the law school as well as the tough criteria requirements to get accepted to the law school. I will use these facts in my decision on whether or not to take my education further into law.

The admissions process was very interesting, it really brought to my attention that if you want to get in you better be doing well in classes as a freshman. I always new law school was expensive buy once you see the figures in front of you it also gives you something else to think about.

Right now I am preparing for the future just by making my grades good enough that I can be excepted into anything with them.

I have not gotten involved in to many things so far, I am a part of the republicans club as well as being vice president of the floor. I believe that involvement is key for finding a job as well as admission in to upper level school.

Law school was something that was only an idea or thought in my mind but after hearing Dean Gonzalez it gave me some interesting ideas on possibly new college paths.

I’ve had a blast at Mizzou since day one, some of the most fun things I’ve done are there football game, the Eric Hutchenson concert, and just meeting new people and making new friends. Dorm life is really fun I have enjoyed meeting all the people in our hall and like hanging out with them every night.

I think the fig has done a good job of showing us about the law school so far but, I think it would be very interesting to sit in on one of the mock trial that the law students are doing just to actually see what its like.

I did attend pizza and politics and thought it was very interesting. I really enjoyed getting to discuss current problems in a civil and cooperative manner. The thing I was most interested in talking about was the rising deficit. It went well and I had a good time.

  12. I
I found the presentation to be very informative, yet concise at the same time. I liked that Dean Gonzalez was able to keep the information coming without stalling because she felt like she needed to take up more time to have a good speech.

    II
I was never familiar with the admissions process for a law school, but I did assume that you would need letters of reccomendation and other things of that nature.

    III
I'm preparing for my future by looking at possible schools at which to go through my medical education after I get my bachelor's degree here at Mizzou.

    IV
I have done several things for the benefit of others. I have been on a mission trip to Savannah, GA as well as taught several vacation bible schools during my time with that church. During my senior year of high school, I served as a volunteer teaching assistant for an ESL class.

    V
I never inteded on going to law school, and although Dean Gonzalez's speech was very informative and interesting, I still remain set on my current career choice to become an orthopaedic surgeon.

    VI
My favorite experiences are those at hte home football games. Things are going well in my classes, as I have had no problems other than a few minor setbacks, but I think that everything will improve as I get more acclimated to the life of a college student.

    VII
I think I would like to see the class cover subjects in current events that are assosciated with the workings of politics and the law, so that we could be more informed as to how this field of study is applied in everyday life.

    VIII
I am planning to attend the meeting, and the issues that I'm most interested to hear the opinions of others on are probably health care reform and tax law.

  13. i thought the presentation was really great, she outlined key requirements and gave valuable information that i had not heard before. For me i was glad that i was able to attend the presentation because i definitely want to go to law school after college. im going to use this presentation as kind of a guiding line for my four years. Now i know what i need to shoot for which is extremely helpful. I also thought that Mrs. Gonzales answered all of the questions posed very well.

The whole LSAT thing is pretty new to me, and i thought for sure mizzou had a bigger law school, i was amazed that its only 150 people. I didn't really grasp quite how competetive law school was before the presentation.

I think the only thing i can start doing now is work to get my gpa as solid as possible early, and also to maybe take some more writing intensive classes.

After hearing Dean Gonzales i definitely think law scholl is still for me. I don't know about mizzou law, i mean she didn't really sell MU law very effectively.

The most fun experience for me so far at mizzou was the bowling green football game. Walking in to the stadium gave me goosebumps and i had such a good time i loved every minute of it.Thing are going very well im doing pretty well in all of my classes, but finals are still gonna suck. My best memories are of hanging out with my suitemates, we hit it off as soon as i met them and we are really good friends now.

I would like to see the fig class cover more politics and law.

I attended the meeting and the topic i was most concerned about was definitly health care . This topic was debated about pretty heatedly.

  14. The presentation about Missouri’s law school was very interesting and Insightful as to how the law school admissions process works. I plan to go to law school, but not Missouri’s but I will definitely take into account this and apply this to how other law schools do admissions, but with the thought that every school does things differently.

The process itself was nothing new to me, both my parents went through law school and I had asked them before about the process and what law school entailed.

My preparation now is working hard on my grades, to me without a high GPA, no matter what else you do to make yourself look good, you have to have the GPA to get into a good law or grad school.

There is nothing at this point that I have become involved with, at this point in my college career I am not going to overload myself with anything other than homework, because grades are the most important thing. After my freshman year I plan to become more involved. I would like to do something that entails politics and has some connection to law. What that is yet, I don’t know.

Yes, law school is for me. It is what I have been planning for my whole life.

The discussion at Pizza and Politics has been fun, but the football games and working together on the ilife project has been a blast. The meeting in which my group came up our idea for ilife was particularly fun.

The Fig is call Politics and the Law, so I believe the Fig should cover more political topics and discussions of that sort during class. This to me would fulfill the class and why I joined this FIG.

Yes, I did attend Pizza and Politics and had a lot of fun discussing the current issues. Health care was definitely a big issue during the discussion.

  15. I. I thought the presentation was very informative. However, it was very boring. The dean really told us the many aspects of Mizzou's law school but she did not make me want to apply at all. But if I do decide to go into law, I probably will apply.
II.I didn't know that the admissions process for the Law School was so difficult. She made it seem like there was a slim chance of anyone getting in. I also had no idea that the class size for Mizzou's law school was so small.
III. To prepare for my future in journalism, I am attending the National Association of Black Journalists meetings so that I can figure out what aspect of journalism I can pursue as a career. I think I will end up double majoring in Business and Journalism.
IV. I am, as previously stated, a member of NABJ. I am also a member of the Gamma Chapter of Target Hope, an organization that focuses on community service & academics.
    V. At the moment, I don't think law school is for me.
VI. My best memory here so far is the first home football game. I come from a huge city but I've never seen so much school spirit! I've also been having a lot of fun with my friends partying and going to dinner and the many campus activities. I've met a lot of great people here at Mizzou, including some people in the FIG. Things are basically going great. Great friends, great roomate, great classes, etc.
VII. I think the FIG should discuss personal topics, not just politics. It always just seems like a class. It kind of takes out the fun of it. We should just have topics about life here at Mizzou (roomates, parties, etc) Not all the time, just once in a while.
VIII. I did not attend Pizza & Politics.
